Even Sweeter with Authentique

Holiday preparations continue at my house, as I rush to get things ready before the family starts arriving tomorrow. After much time this weekend, I’m happy to say that the tree is up, and most of the decorating is done. Things are looking pretty festive around here! So now I can turn my attention to the next step….finishing up my gifts and getting them wrapped. This year I am really making an effort on giving handmade. Today I am sharing a quick and sweet gift idea on the Authentique blog, perfect for co-workers or neighbors, or just about anybody on your gift-giving list.

AudreyPettit-Tradition-HotCocoaJarI’m thinking this little jar of hot cocoa mix is sure to be a hit with everyone this holiday. And I love how easy this gift is to put together in bulk and personalize with a fun gift tag. Simply add hot cocoa mix in the bottom of the jar, followed by your favorite toppings. Doesn’t get much easier than that!

These here are from the Tradition collection. I layered two cards together with a bit of lace and stitching for detail. Then simply notch the top corners and punch a hole for an instant gift tag. The fun little gingers, hearts, and sentiment are from Papertrey Ink.

AudreyPettit-Tradition-HotCocoaJar3I’ve been saving recycled jars for quite some time. Many condiment and jelly jars are just the right size, and after a coat of paint on the lid, make perfect gift containers. I dressed up the top of the lid with some die cuts, holly berries and leaves, and a holiday sticker popped up for depth.

So my friends, tell me….

How are your holiday preparations coming along?
