It’s been a few days, and I’m happy to say I’ve made a wee bit of progress on my holiday decorating. My parents are arriving early next week, and my boy will be done with his exams, so I’ve given myself a deadline to be finished by then. I’ve been hauling out lots of pretties, but my poor tree is still looking pretty bare. Fortunately I’ve got lots of fun new ornaments to hang, including my winter white stars and holiday bouquet stockings. And today I have one more new ornament to share with a fun gift packaging idea I made for Authentique using Tombow adhesives, our product partner this week on the Authentique blog.
I have a soft spot for snowmen. I started this little guy way back in January, but I’m afraid to say he’s been neglected until now. Now he’s all smartly done up with his little stitched pocket all filled with holiday treats and his shabby coffee stain finish. He’s made from scraps of leftover fabric and felt, with a small bit of hand-stitching. Love how he turned out.
I decided that with something as cute as this little guy to gift, I shouldn’t tuck him away inside a box, but rather let him become part of the whole gift packaging. So I came up with a pouch envelope idea that can hold all sorts of holiday treats and gifties, and is super easy to create using Joyous papers and die cuts and Tombow adhesives.
I’ve got the easy step-by-step directions up on the Authentique blog, if you’d like to learn more. And be sure to leave a comment while you are there, for a chance to win an amazing prize package filled with Authentique goodies and Tombow adhesives.
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friends! Wishing you all a very wonderful weekend!
