Winter Wonderland

Hi everyone! Wishing you all a VERY happy New Year! Hope you have had a fabulous holiday week filled with extra special time spent with family and friends. Maybe you’ve even managed to squeeze in some time to just rest and relax after all the hustle and bustle of this past month, too. I know I’ve definitely been enjoying every moment. We’ve had the most wonderful time with our California visitor, Megan. This morning we are heading to the airport to see her safely on her way back home, and tomorrow we are back to the old routine. Seems that all good things must come to an end. But as one door closes, another opens on a whole new year and a new opportunity for us all to grow and dream and reach new goals. Here’s to hoping that 2012 is an amazing year for all of us!

Today I have a card to share that I made for the Prickely Pear Rubber Stamp blog using the Build an Owl Clear Stamp Set 2 and matching Build an Owl Die.

We haven’t been having much of a winter wonderland, as the temperatures have been unseasonable warm, but starting today things are turning quite chilly on us. Perhaps I triggered winter with my little card. 😉

Stamped and die cut the owl from patterned paper and added a touch of color with Copics. Popped the owl up with foam adhesive over a background of layered snowflakes and a banner cut from the paper. I cut the fancy scalloped edging off a doily and ruffled it along the bottom for the trim and finished the card with a rub-on sentiment, a bit of lace, and a trio of vintage buttons.

Hope you’ll pop by the Prickely Pear Rubber Stamp blog to see what other fabulous creations the team has for you this Monday morning. And thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy New Year everyone!
