Today I’m playing along with one of my favorite challenge blogs, The Shabby Tea Room, and their week #52 challenge, “luck of the Irish”. Such a perfect theme for this time of year, and so fun, too. Simply create a card or project using the color GREEN.
Green is one of my favorite colors to work with. Being an outdoorsy kind of gal, I’ve always been drawn to it. So for today’s card, I added lots and lots of my favorite green, in different shades and tones to add contrast and visual interest to a monochromatic palette. Varying patterns and typography also add a touch of charm and detail. And of course I had to add some of my most favorite things….old buttons and ribbon, machine stitching, rugged hemp cord, and a sweet vintage image to finish things off.
I hope you check out all the fabulous designs from the Shabby Girls at the Tea Room. They have out-done themselves this week. And have you heard??
The Shabby Tea Room is turning one on Monday! And what a party it will be! Tons of prizes. Loads of inspiration. Lots of guest designers, including a project from little old me. I can’t wait to see you all there!
