What a beautiful day it is here today. The sun is shining, the skies are clear, and the temperature is warm. Fall days don’t get much more glorious than this. Unfortunately, fall days also bring allergy season. I always seem to forget that little fact until it hits me like a ton of bricks. It seems that it is now imperative that I keep kleenex with me at ALL TIMES. ALL TIMES!
Just got back from having lunch up at school with Nik. I did get her back in class today, although she certainly hasn’t recovered from this cold completely. She has informed me that she would like to be an artist for Halloween this year. Isn’t that cute? She’s decided she wants to splatter paint over an apron and on her face and has asked me to make her an artist’s palette. I thought I would give it a go this afternoon with some cardboard and paint. Here’s what I’ve got so far.
The paint should be dry by the time she’s home from school, and then she can get started on adding paint colors. Hope she likes it.
I loved the whimsical flowers on this BoBunny Flirty paper and cut around two of them to use as my focal point. The green is from the BoBunny Sweetie Pie line and the yellow is Basic Grey Urban Prairie. Dressed the card up with buttons and ribbon and added a sentiment strip from Scenic Route. I also had mucho fun with my sewing machine framing the card and highlighting the floral images. Thank you again, Shanna for these awesome new papers!
Here is the sketch for this week. Sketch #72.
Hope you come and play along!
Have a great day everyone!
