Happy Mother’s Day

Hi everyone!  Couldn’t let today slip past without giving a big Mother’s Day shout out to all you fabulous mother’s out there!  And of course a special shower of love and gratitude is aimed at my own wonderful mother.  Thank you, thank you, Mom for everything you do for me!  I could not love you more!

I made Mom’s card this year using the gorgeous new mid-season release from Webster’s Pages called Sweet as Cherry Pie.  I absolutely love these new papers and new designer vellum.

The detailing in the paper made this card an absolute snap to make.  I used the new strip sheet for the base of the card and simply enhanced the edging with a little machine stitching.  The label and family quote strips came directly from the paper, as well, and were quick and easy to cut out and place on my card.  A little twine and tulle bow finish off the card.  Isn’t that easy?

I have a few other projects to share that also feature the new Sweet as Cherry Pie paper.  I love how bright and versatile this line is.  It is perfect for the 4th of July with it’s patriotic colors, but also works wonderfully with any spring, summer, or beach pages, and is fabulous for boys, as well, with the strong blues it has.

This card uses the new designer vellum as well as the papers, and I love how well the new trim matches, too.

And isn’t this paper perfect for beach photos?  I have had these pictures on my desk for over a year because I had never found just the right paper to match the beachy theme as well as the bright blue and yellow in Nik’s swimsuit.  LOVE it!
