Well, the weekend is definitely off to a great start! The weather here has been absolutely beautiful, and I’ve been soaking up hours of sunshine outside. Think I’m really getting into this biking thing, too. Yesterday, Nik and I hit the trails again. She was on her bike, and I walked along side with this little girl in tow.

Or maybe I should say with this big girl. Just when you thought the whooly mammoth was extinct, huh! This is Layla. I’ve been pet-sitting her the last couple of days. Figured there was no way I could navigate a bike and her, so I had to walk. But, I did go out again today and rode the entire bike path near my house. I already need to find a longer trail. I really am loving it! Nik loves it, too. What a perfect little companion.

Went out to dinner with the girls last night, and have even done a little scrapping, too. I have to admit, though….I don’t have big football plans this weekend. Think I might even scrap my way through most of the game. Terrible, isn’t it? What about you guys? Big plans?
Think I’m going to go hit the scraproom again, but before I do, I have my card for this week’s sketch over at the Sketch This blog to share. We’ve taken a little break, but now we’re back in action. Here is this week’s sketch.

And here is the card I created with it featuring a little bit of Basic Grey Urban Prairie.

I also used some tiny ledger alphas from Making Memories, some Webster’s Pages trim, a Doodlebug icon sticker, and a button from My Mind’s Eye. And that adorable felt heart came from my friend, Kathy’s, Etsy shop called Card-Blanc. She has such cute stuff. Hope you all will check her out.

Thanks so much for taking a peek, and I hope your weekends are fabulous, big football plans or not!
Audrey,
This doggy is so cute! Your daughter looks like she is enjoying dog sitting too!
What a cute card you made…Love the little birdie!
I dont have any plans for the superbowl either. None of my teams are playing so I haven’t really been paying it much attention!
Have a great weekend!
what an adorable dog….and nik is as gorgeous as ever.
i’ll be scrapping my way through football tomorrow too. i’m rooting for the underdogs just because that’s what i always do…but i probably won’t watch much.
sweet card!
Love the sketch & the card you made, Audrey!
Have a great weekend!
Sweet card….sweet daughter and dog! I am a dog lover, in case I hadn’t mentioned that before
My son has superbowl plans at our house with friends after our evening church service. I am the food provider
Love your card Audrey, especially the felt heart and the layering! I just love felt, it’s amazing what you can do with that stuff! So proud that you are a dog sitter and Nik looked like she was loving Miss Layla. What kind of dog is she? Favors our Great Pyrenese we have to protect our goats, they look like polar bears but they are gentle giants! Since you’ve started biking I wanted to tell you there are great trails in Virginia, if you ever decide to go north on vacation. Matt and I went biking with friends in Abbingdon, VA on the Creeper Trail (it used to be the railroad and they turned it into bike trails). It may even go into NC, not sure….because it goes on for miles and miles. But very beautiful scenery and great photo op!
Layla looks quite a sweetheart ! sounds like a lot of fun for you & Nik taking care of her !
Another fab card ! Awesome amount of details !
We’re right smack in the middle of the Chinese New Year festivites ! Lots of visiting of relatives & eating . But it’s a little like playing musical houses( yeah – gotta grin & bear it as we get older sadly ) & not always a pleasure to see some people even if only for a coupla hours !
What an adorable dog!!!! I think you made the smart move, by not trying to ride the bike with the dog!!!
I too am not much into the whole Football thing, but Mom and Dad invited us over for some good eats, and I can stretch out and relax. Joe and Dad really want to watch the game, so Mom and I will probably just chit chat!!!!! Love your card!!!! Have a wonderful Sunday!
