Hey everyone! What a whirlwind the last few days have been. This weekend has flown by so fast, but has been so much fun. I’m working on my New Year’s resolution of including more “fun” in my life. So far, I’m doing pretty well with it.
On Friday, I spent the day with an online friend that I was meeting for the first time. One of my favorites parts of this scrapbooking hobby is all the wonderful people you get a chance to meet. Kathy (Mom2Christopher) and I have been chatting for over a year on 2peas, but we had never met. Don’t know what we’ve been waiting for, because we only live about a half hour apart. She came down and spent the day with me, and we just clicked right away. We did some scrapping, and then went out to eat and even got a bit of shopping in. I picked up a few Christmas clearance items at my favorite store for 75% off!! Woot! So all in all, what could be better than that??
Kathy is a big animal lover, so right away she wanted to meet my little buddy, Sonic.

And here’s a picture that Nik took of the two of us.

I had a great time, Kathy! Can’t wait to do this again!
And today, I went to go see A Chorus Line with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. I had seen it in London with my parents when I was quite young, and really didn’t remember that much about it beyond a few of the songs. What a wonderful show it is. If you get the chance to go see it, do!

I do even have a little bit of a scrappy share this evening. Made my friend’s birthday card using our January kit from Paper-Playground. Perfect paper for a winter birthday, I must say.

Paper is from Melissa Frances and cardstock sticker from Creative Imaginations. Ribbon from May Arts. That yummy glimmer screen stencil from Tattered Angels. A gem from Q&Co. And lots and lots of stitching. I added a birthday rub-on greeting from my stash.
I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend, too!
