Hi everyone! Can you believe we are on the very last day of 2008? My mother always told me that time goes faster as you get older, and boy is that ever the truth. So much happens in one year, but it feels like only the blink of an eye before it’s over. I have much to be thankful for and many happy memories of 2008, but am looking forward to a new year. I hope the new year is good to all of us!
I have been loving reading everyone’s blogs these last couple of days. I’ve seen several people posting some of their favorite layouts and memories of the year, and I thought I’d join in and share just a few of my favorites, too. The first is a new page that I’ve just created that is really special to me. I really, really love the fall and winter holidays, as you all know. One tradition that I started several years ago was allowing myself one new decoration per holiday. These decorations take on special meaning as I remember things that were happening in our lives at that time. I don’t do that much decorating at other times of the year, but Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are my times to shine. Here is my page of this year’s new Thanksgiving guy.

Made this using the November kit from Paper-Playground. One of my all-time favorite kits of ours from this year. I had been saving that K&Co. paper just for this page, as I thought it would be perfect for my new turkey. Everything is from the kit except for my tiny alpha stamps I used for the journaling. And just a little plug…….we still have some of these kits left, and are even offering them at a 25% discount. If anyone is interested, just leave me a comment.
If I had to pick out my favorites of Peter is would definitely be these next two.

Ha! Classic Peter! These just sum my boy up SO well! I love you, Peter. Full of boredom, full of teenage angst, you make my life so much richer and full of laughter.
My fave picks of Nik have got to be these two.

Nicole, my sweet and beautiful girl. You bring more sunshine and joy into my life than words can ever convey.
Thanks everyone, for letting me take this trip down memory lane and bearing with me for so long. I’ve come to truly cherish the many online friends I have made through scrapbooking. You all are another huge blessing in my life. I wish you all a safe, fun, and wonderful New Year’s Eve, and may 2009 be the best year ever!
Thank you so much sharing. I hope you have a wonderful New Year!
