Ok. Seems like I just blinked, and the weekend is over already. Still not sure how exactly that happened. Perhaps sleeping until noon yesterday had something to do with it. I know, I know……crazy. I did wake up at 7, but then decided to take just a little snooze on the couch. 5 hours later, I awoke in sort of a confused daze that turned to pure shock when I gazed at the clock. Mercy. Guess I needed it. That’s what happens when everyone decides to leave me for the weekend!
Wish I could share all the fabulous things I accomplished over the last few days, and all the scrapbooking I got in…….so let’s just pretend that I have, ok? At least I did get a little bit done. I’m actually pretty excited about the changes my mom and I have made in Nik’s room since Christmas. Nik’s been asking me to switch bedrooms from down the hall to the spare room closer to mine. Figured that was a great task to accomplish while my parents are here to help me move the furniture. And then Santa brought a few items to make the new room even more special.

This last photo absolutely cracks me up. I was focusing on Nik, so didn’t even realize that Peter had grabbed her new blanket in the bottom corner until after I looked at my photos. What a nut! This bedding is just about the softest stuff I have ever seen. I’ve got these photos sitting on my scrap desk right now. Can’t wait to get in there and play.
And with all this new bedding and the move down the hall, Nik’s bedroom now looks like this.

We have been working fairly steadily since Christmas to get everything cleaned out and moved over, and last night, Mom and I got to make up the bed. The bed frame is an antique wrought iron bed that I got for Nik right after she got out of the crib. Think the white looks wonderful with the new bold blues and greens. And you can see that my girl is seriously addicted to her stuffed lovies. Mom had the idea to pick out the ones that “best matched” the new bedding. We only had a million to choose from, so it worked out fairly well.
I did also manage to get one little scrapbook page created using the January kit from Paper-Playground. Can’t share the whole thing yet, but I can show you this small peek.

Pretty is the best word I can think of to describe this kit. Can’t wait to share the full reveal with you all on the 1st!
Think it’s time to see if I can get anything done today! Wish me luck!
