Wow! The Sketch This blog turns 60 this week! That’s right…..60 sketches. Where on earth does the time go? Seems like we were just celebrating the 50th sketch. And now here we are, 10 sketches later and I feel like I’ve hardly blinked in that time. Even so, I am very excited about my card this week. It is the first project that I’ve had the chance to do with the new August kit from Paper-Playground. And I really like this kit. Here it is.
The kit features cardstock, patterned paper, alphabet stickers and die-cuts from SEI’s Poppy line. These papers are out-of-this-world pretty. Each sheet of patterned paper is double-sided with beautiful designs on both sides, and………each sheet is adorned with pearled or metallic accents. Each sheet!! They are almost too special to cut into. Almost. My other favorite part to this kit is the Bazzill stitching template and satin embroidery floss that I used to create the stitched flourish on this card. So fun! I’ve already decided that the template would make some awesome waves for pool or beach layouts and I can’t wait to keep playing to see what other possibilities come to mind. The gems are Doodlebug. I just added the Imaginisce rub-on greeting from my stash.
