Well, Monday has come and gone again, and that means that it is time for another Random Chaos challenge. This week, the goal is to use something clear on your layout. With all the fun choices out there, the options are endless. I was really impressed with some of the projects that the other design team girls came up with. Janelle and Lia both used cool acrylic, shaped pieces as their backgrounds. Be sure to go check it out!
Here is what I did.
I decided to use not one, but two different types of clear products on my page. The first is a clear overlay from Creative Imaginations that I had been hoarding in my stash for several months. I’m so glad this challenge came along and gave me the push to finally use it. I cut the overlay down in size and layered it over a lined, notebook paper from Creative Cafe, and stitched it into place with my sewing machine. The second clear product is the large ghost letters from Heidi Swapp that I used for the main part of my title. They can be a bit tricky to attach to your page. I painted the back side with Modge Podge to get them to adhere. Covering the entire backside ensures that you will not notice the glue through your letters. Even though these have a slight greenish cast, they are definitely still see-through, so you will want to make sure you coat the whole thing. Then I also used some rub-on letters from Imagination Project, and cut some blue swirls from a sheet of MAMBI patterned paper. Love how they look like splashes.
These photos are from our trip to the beach last month. After spending the day at the beach, the kids would like to swim and relax at the hotel’s outdoor pool before heading inside. It became a nice little ritual after only a couple of days. I sure wouldn’t mind being back there right now, as a matter of fact.
Have a great day everyone!
