Yeah, Monday is Random Chaos day. I cannot believe how quickly the week rolls around. But even though it kinda sneaks up on me, I really have a lot of fun with these weekly challenges. They give me just the push to get me going, but are completely open to tons of different interpretations. This week’s challenge is a real simple one…….use pink and orange together on a layout. I love those two colors together. They really bring a lot of energy to the table.
I almost feel like I was cheating on this page, because I pulled out my old stash of Tres Jolie paper from My Mind’s Eye which already had both pink and orange in the paper. Does that even count?? I also used a bit of Webster’s Pages paper on here for the background and a few details. That sheet is the back side of the Dahlia paper from the Sweet Charity line. And there is also some ledger paper from Making Memories. The title uses a combination of flocked stickers from K&Co. and rub-on letters from Imagination Project. I’ve had these canvas quotes from Chatterbox forever and a day and this is the first time I’ve ever used them. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they are peel and stick, which made applying that strip an absolute breeze. Finally, I used some trims from both Making Memories and Fancy Pants, and some buttons from My Mind’s Eye. The small white flowers came from the wedding aisle at Michael’s, which I borrowed from another project.
I do realize that a photo cropped right at the neck line isn’t always the most flattering, but I’m awfully fond of this picture anyway. My friend Beth was over recently to help me with some kit club stuff. She designs for us for the Paper-Playground Kits ‘r It club. We got into an impromptu photo shoot, mostly to take some shots of Nicole and maybe her and I together. And then Nik wanted a turn at the camera and she took some pictures of Beth and I. I got a lot of nice photos that day. She really did a pretty darn good job. Way to go, Nik!
Have a great night everyone!

your layout turned out ADORABLE!!! I love that combo together and this is just too cute A!
